Golden Rules for Industrial Workshops
- Finished products should be in North-West zone.
- Raw material should be in SW.
- Administration block should be in SW, South, East, North and West.
- Machines should be placed in South / West area.
- Machines having heat should be placed in SE area.
- Raw material input should move from South to North.
- Flow of operations should be planned so as to move main operations from South to North directions.
- Toilet or power installations should not be in North East central or South west zone.
- Spare parts store should not be provided in North west, central or South east zone.
